That’s 2020 in a nutshell. A year of deep reflection. Of course I didn’t know this at the start of the year, as they say hindsight is 20/20.
When I reflect back, 2020 has been one colorful year. I experienced moments of blissed out joy, deep love, amazing appreciation, child like fun, gut wrenching pain, immeasurable grief, and above all else radical grace.
This year has offered so much contrast to all of our lives from social connection to social isolation. As one of my favorite philosophers, Alan Watts says: “You can’t have one without the other”.
(And yes you can totally gift these to yourself)

With a year like 2020, I think it’s safe to say everyone can use a little stress relief for Christmas. Most of my purchases this year were self care items to soothe stress and anxiety. I tried everything from weighted blankets, essentials oils, adaptogens, instruments, singing bows, meditation apps and more. Did it work? The short answer is, yes. …

It’s an interesting time in the world right now, one that we will get through but will forever change us. My thoughts and feelings about the coronavirus pandemic are evolving daily. You may feel the same way. Am I concerned? Yes. Am I cautious? Yes. Am I anxious? At times, yes.
There is a spectrum…
It’s no doubt meditation is an important practice to cultivate to improve overall wellbeing. If you are new to meditation, as we all are at some point, it can seem a little intimidating. I’m not here to tell you that it’s easy, what I will say is that it’s completely doable : practice = progress.
I still remember one of the first times I sat down to meditate on my own. The year was 2008, meditation had yet to go mainstream but being a young yogi, it was already on my radar. …
It’s here!!! October 1st — the last 90 days of the year. Aka #amplify90 it’s time to make shift happen.
Imagine what would happen if you focus on one thing, just one project for the next 90 days… are you imagining it? What do you see?
Completion? Transformation? Elevation?
Yes. Yes. Yes.
I have a million things I want to do all the time in the best way possible … I’m sure you do to. But the one thing I’ve learned about myself by aligning with the seasons is this — Fall is the time to slow down.
There is a ton of information out there on how to lean out, look great, lose weight , etc. etc… Yet, the number one reason clients come to me is because they want to drop 10 pounds. (*side note: this is slowly falling to the number two spot as stress rises to the top of the list).
Nevertheless, it’s a question/problem most everyone struggles with at some point in their life, myself included. Losing weight is no easy task, but getting there can be simple.
“Huh? Ritu, you just said it’s not easy?! I’m confused”
